Unclip the lid of the Techex device.
Connect positive cable from one of the battery clips to the screw labelled with a plus sign and the negative cable to the screw labelled with a negative symbol?br>Connect cable from screw number four to one side of the heat resistor.
Connect cable from a PP3 battery connector clip to screw number five and the other cable to the other connection of your heat resistor.
The detonator needs to be placed in a safe position.
Connect a balloon to the heat resistor and 9V batteries to the connectors.
Hold down the button A for a couple of seconds.燨nce the resistor is heated the balloon will burst.

Princess Costumes – A Fantasy World For Little Girls

By the age of three, children are beginning to define themselves, both in terms of gender and as individuals. Little boys dream of power, strength and skills beyond their current capabilities, in short about being some sort of super hero. Little girls, on the other hand, dream of being princesses. The princess phenomenon has now reached fever pitch and has been dubbed “the princess syndrome”, with sales of everything pink, jewelled and sparkly, from princess costumes to Sleeping Beauty’s castle in the playroom, reaching new highs.

It has been argued by some pediatric experts that parents, in pampering their daughters like royalty, are placing their little princesses on to pedestals, never criticising, giving in to their every whim and turning them into little divas with a hugely-inflated sense of entitlement. The worry is that such traits may follow them out of the actual princess costume stage and into adulthood. Such parenting has been labelled “princess parenting”.

With princess paraphernalia now ubiquitous, some parents are becoming uneasy with the whole phenomenon and questioning whether the princess message is a good thing. These days, that message begins from birth with everything from baby princess costumes, princess bibs and slippers, to princess-themed books, photo frames and even cribs. By the time these babies are toddlers, they are attracted to princess costumes, sparkly crowns and even make-up. There is a strong counter-argument that the princess stage is a normal part of growing up and one of many stages girls go through. For generations, little girls have liked to imagine themselves as princesses, although it is only relatively recently that it has been possible to buy princess costumes and all the attendant paraphernalia. As long as little girls understand that being a princess is a make-believe situation and the children are not indulged to excess, then such worries are groundless. Such imaginative play constitutes a natural part of childhood and little girls love dressing up in princess costumes as a part of their fantasy world.

Some parents try to strike a happy medium by finding positive ways to use their daughters’ obsession with princesses. A good piece of advice for parents worried about possible diva-like tendencies in their daughters, is to focus on positive princess traits, such as being compassionate and trustworthy. In the end, “moderation in all things” is a maxim worth taking note of and, as long as the princess fantasy is not acted out to extremes, then it is a harmless and fun activity.

Family Reunions Are Great!

My father was born in a family of ten. And every year since I was little we would go on a rented bus to the family reunion. His brothers and sisters would organize a family reunion, we spend a weekend in the hotel and a wonderful time. My father has since lost three of his brothers, but the reunion still is going strong.

I can remember when I was younger. I could not wait until August got here and we were going to the reunion. I loved being around cousins that were my age. It was like a major sleep over, but you had a whole weekend together.

The planning of the reunion has been passed down to the second generation. We have charter one bus, two buses, once we had three buses. We all leave from my parents house in Delaware. We have gone to Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Canada, Poconos. This year we are doing the Big Apple, New York. It is such a great experience to be with your cousins, aunts, uncles all together all weekend. The fact is relatives have some of the same genes, therefore, you are with several people that think a like. Its wonderful, however after four days with people that all think a like. It time to move on, and look forward to next years trip.

I am now forty – something and can抰 wait this year for August. So I can be around my cousins, sister, brother, aunts and uncles. My youngest child is sixteen, and she is looking forward to being around her cousins. That is what it is all about, I hope I have installed in my children heads, how much fun it is, and it important to know your family. Because we are alike. And when they get older they will always keep this tradition going.

I would like to encourage family to come together. Maybe not as elaborate as ours, but just start with one day. We have lost several our family members, we do have memories of us together. Please take out the time and be with your family at least once a year.
