Why Children Have Potty Accidents and How to Handle Them

Even after your child has been successfully potty trained, it is normal for them to experience potty accidents.  Many different factors can play a role in a potty-trained child wetting the bed or not making it to the bathroom in time.  Sometimes it is a pure accident because they were so into what they were doing they just didn’t realize they had to go.

Different aspects of life can play a role in a child’s bathroom habits.  If something has happened at home, at school, nightmares or even underlying health issues can cause a child to start having potty accidents.  If your child starts to have accidents, step back and look at what is going on in his life.  Try to determine what could be causing this, even if it is something as simple as his grandparents came to visit.

Five Fun Ways to Keep Your Kids Happy at a Restaurant

We all love going out to eat ?without the kids, that is. If an evening out
with the family at a restaurant leaves you feeling like you endured an
aerobic workout, take heart with these tips on keeping the little cuties
occupied while you wait for your food.

1. Create a box of “goodies.” Find a small leftover container and fill it
with things you find around your house or at a craft store such as paper
clips, foam pieces that come in different colors and shapes, shiny things,
dull things, cotton balls, etc. Keep this container in your car so you are
always prepared, and the children don抰 get tired of playing with it. (If you
are really creative, you can decorate the container).

Take it into the restaurant and pull it out after you decide what you want
to order. Show them the contents and begin to ask questions. Can…

Top Five Tips For Making Winter Fun For Small Children and Adults

1. Dress Right

The most important tip for surviving kids and winter is to make sure that everyone is dressed correctly for winter. While winter gear may seem expensive, it is possible to get what you need without spending a fortune. Places like TJMaxx, Marshalls, Target and other discount stores often carry the right materials. You just need to know what to look for.

First and foremost, you need gloves and a hat that are made from wind and waterproof or at least water resistant material. It is the wind that really makes you cold, so mittens and head gear that can help you keep out the breeze are really important.

Next, you need the proper footgear. Wool socks or some kind of material like cashmere or angora are much better than cotton, which does not wick away the moisture or keep you very warm for long periods of time.

Finally, you need…

Kitchen Herb Gardens – Tips and Uses

The creation of potted herb gardens is a time honored tradition, stemming back for hundreds of years and regaining vast popularity for today’s chef and gardening enthusiast. You don’t need to be a professional, or even to have a green thumb, in order to grow successful kitchen herb gardens for the window or breakfast nook. For starters, you will want to choose your herbs based not only on your personal flavoring and scent preferences, but on the hardiness of the genus of plant. By design, most herbs are extremely strong growers, needing very little care or attention to grow in the wild or in the garden.

Sunlight is the most important aspect when gathering, planting, and caring for your young herbs. Potted herb gardens will need direct and full sunlight for the entire day, so be sure that you have chosen the proper pot for the window or table space that…

In some IVF procedures, doctors may wait three days before transferring embryos to the uterus, while a five day transfer is used by others. The advantages and disadvantages may be debated by the scientific community, but understanding the pros and cons of such a procedure is important for infertile couples interested in the in vitro fertilization procedure.

Of course, a fertility specialist should be alongside when making such a decision, as their knowledge and experience is certainly something that couples should take advantage of when making such a decision.

Waiting five days before transferring embryos to the uterus allows the doctor to select the highest quality embryos for transfer. Choosing the best quality embryos for transfer is important for infertile couples, as it gives them a better chance of becoming pregnant.
