Pregnancy Preparation: Who is a Baby Whisperer?

A baby whisper is a Dr. Mommy who inspires and instructs new Moms on building strong connections with their babies.

By learning a practice of simple and effective techniques, Moms can learn to whisper relaxing phrases to their babies before birth as the baby grows, and during and after delivery.

Why is this Practice Important?

Scientific research shows that when Mom is stessed before or after the birth the baby is stress as well. When Mom has higher level of stress hormones, the fetus heart beats faster. In other words, when Mom feels stress, the baby in the womb feels stress.

Infants also pick up on Mom’s anxiety. When levels of stress hormones become too high for extended periods mental or physical health can suffer. Again, when Mom feels anxiety, the infant feels anxiety.

And the opposite is true as well.

When Mom is relaxed, the baby in the womb is relaxed. When Mom is peaceful, the infant is peaceful too.

How and Why I Learned to Do This

“In 1973 I decided to do natural childbirth. Although I found the Lamaze techniques quite helpful, I needed more. I wish I had headphones and a tape with a soothing and familiar voice that talked me through a relaxation sequence. When I took Christopher Brett home I was a bundle of nerves and would have welcomed a comforting voice for both of us! Over the years I have worked successfully with new Moms using these techniques. One Mom laughed that the nurses were very curious about her headgear during labor.”

Practice Makes Perfect

When Mom learns to soothe herself, of “self-soothe,” the baby learns how to “self-soothe” both in the womb and after delivery.

The more a mom learns how to relax and be peaceful, the baby will feel relaxed and peaceful. This is crucial, because according to Neuroscientist Wayne Drevets, MD observes, in the brain, “Practice makes permanent.”

Benefits of the 5-Day Embryo Transfer For IVF Procedures

In some IVF procedures, doctors may wait three days before transferring embryos to the uterus, while a five day transfer is used by others. The advantages and disadvantages may be debated by the scientific community, but understanding the pros and cons of such a procedure is important for infertile couples interested in the in vitro fertilization procedure.

Of course, a fertility specialist should be alongside when making such a decision, as their knowledge and experience is certainly something that couples should take advantage of when making such a decision.

Waiting five days before transferring embryos to the uterus allows the doctor to select the highest quality embryos for transfer. Choosing the best quality embryos for transfer is important for infertile couples, as it gives them a better chance of becoming pregnant.

An embryo that has been allowed to develop for five days is called a blastocyst. These embryos have developed two cell types and a center cavity filled with fluid. For more information about blastocyst embryos, patients should speak to a doctor in the field. In many cases, more educated patients turn out to be more successful patient, so consulting with a physician regarding this procedure may be beneficial to the couple.

One of the advantages of a five day transfer for IVF procedures is that five days is a more natural time for the embryo to make its way into the uterus. Many IVF procedures perform a transfer after two or three days, but embryos of this age are usually found in the fallopian tubes. Transferring after five days instead of two or three may reduce the risk of multiple births as well.

After two or three days, it may be more difficult to determine which embryos will be healthy enough to develop, while culturing embryos for five days will often give doctors a better idea of which embryos will be more likely to develop long-term. Therefore, fewer embryos may be transferred, which decreases the risk of multiple births.

The disadvantages associated with this method are minimal if the clinic performing the procedure is well-equipped and has quality control measures in place. Clinics with less than optimal culture environments may not have the same success rate as proficient clinics, making clinic selection an important task in this procedure.

Less than optimal clinics may have greater success with two or three day ivf transfer methods. Speaking to a medical professional at a proficient clinic is important for couples interested in this procedure.

7 Simple Steps To Avoid Pain In Labor And Have An Easy, Short, Relaxed And Comfortable Birth

The first thing we think of when we think of childbirth is PAIN! If someone in the streets walks up to you right now saying “YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE AN EASY, SHORT, RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE LABOR”, what is your reaction going to be? You are probably thinking “Yeah right, You probably don’t know a thing about birthing!” But hey, take a minute to listen to that again in your head? How nice it would be if it were true? Can we truly really have an easy, short, relaxed and comfortable labor?

YES, now YOU can, in seven simple steps. Here is how:

1. Linking childbirth to pleasure

Human Beings are actually very simple creatures. All our actions are linked towards getting even more pleasure and doing as much as we can to avoid pain.

So the first thing we need to do is to link childbirth to pleasure instead of pain. You must be joking you say but do this now. Take your pen and paper and ask yourself these two questions:

(a) What will i GAIN if i have an easy labor and birth? (So list down ALL the BENEFITS you, your baby and your husband is going to derive from this NOW!

Yes, i mean right now, just let your pen flow and keep on writing for at least 5 minutes non-stop!)

(b) What will it COST me if i do not have an easy labor and birth? (list down all the pain you are you going to get by not getting this easy labor and birth!)

What you then do is to look at this list every day and add on to this list everyday. As you read this list, you don’t just read it, i want you to engage all the emotions in your body, charge it all up, and imagine all the benefits and pleasure you are going to get from having an easy, short, relaxed and comfortable labor.

2. Positive Affirmations

I want you to list down all your negative thoughts, fears and concerns about this pregnancy, labor, birth and parenting. After you have done that, i want you
to change all your negative thoughts, fears and concerns into something positive. Thats right, you heard me. Change it into something positive.

That was tough wasn’t it, but it gets easier the more the do it. Now as you go through the list of positive affirmations, i want you to ensure that you use
Active present tense or present tense, AS IF it is already happening to you right now.

For example:

Fear of pain during labor and birth

The positive affirmation can be:

“I am getting better at having an easy, short, relaxed and comfortable labor with the techniques that i am learning.” (active present tense)

“My labor and birth is EASY, SHORT, RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE!” (present tense)

Then what i want you to do is write these affirmations on post it notes and paste them around in the house and repeat the positive affirmation to yourself whenever you see the post it notes at least twice a day. If your brain talks back to you when you use present tense, then start with active present tense
until your brains gets the idea that you are INDEED going to have an easy, short, relaxed and comfortable labor and birth.

3. Breathing Techniques

“I forgot the breathing techniques i learned in class” is something common that we always hear. I am going to teach you effective birthing techniques that
works with your body, and women swear by it, so listen well.

Breathe in from your diaphragm to a slow count up to 8 or 10, and slowly breathe out. Practice this breathe 10 times a day EVERY DAY.

Its easy, you get this done in minutes. The key is practice and conditioning your body to this breathing technique so it becomes second nature to you during labor and birth, so do it now.

4. Relaxation Techniques

To have an easy, short, relaxed and comfortable labor means that we need to be as physically and mentally relaxed as possible. But how are we going to do that when we are supposed to be experiencing pain during labor and birth?

Like the breathing exercise, it is CRUCIAL and IMPERATIVE that you practice this DAILY!!! Need i emphasize more?

Here’s what you.

(a) Take a nice deep breathe and close your eyes.

(b) Focus on your breath – take slow and deep breaths.

(c) Now imagine that you are scanning your body. If there is any tension in your body, take a nice deep breath and release that tension you are holding on
to as you exhale. Do that until your body is completely relaxed

(d) Then anchor yourself to your breath by telling yourself mentally in your mind “every breath takes me deeper and deeper relaxed.”

Thats it, easy isn’t it. Do this at least once a day, its easy, do it right now.

5. Visualisation Techniques

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” – Napoleon Hill

We CAN work with our mind to have an EASY, SHORT, RELAXED & COMFORTABLE labor and birth by visualizing it happening to us, AS IF it is already happening, so engage all your emotions a couple of minutes a day visualizing the kind of labor and birth you would like to have and how long you would like to be in labor for. If you find this challenging, then watch positive birth videos of women having easy births and visualize that over and over and over again until it becomes you.

6. Shift in mindset from childbirth is painful to Childbirth is EASY, SHORT, RELAXED & COMFORTABLE.

Life is about seeing the glass as half empty or half full, and we all know it gets easier when we see the glass as half full even when the going gets tough.

Its the same concept here. So surround yourself with positive birth stories and videos and avoid all negativity relating to pregnancy, labor and birth.

It is IMPERATIVE to use the techniques mentioned:

- Linking childbirth to pleasure daily;

- Repeating and visualizing the Positive affirmations daily;

- Practice the breathing techniques to work with your body daily;

- Practice the relaxation techniques daily, and;

- Visualize, Visualize, Visualize – this is the language of your subconscious mind so work with it by speaking the same language!

7. Understanding what happens during labor and birth and knowing what to expect

Knowledge is power but applied knowledge is TRUE power! Read up as much as you can childbirth, find out your options and birth preferences, communicate and discuss that with your Ob-gyn/ midwife. To get the birth you want, 80% of the work is done prenatally, 20% is applying everything that you learned. To find out in greater depth about this, do look out for my next article.

Thats it, seven simple steps to help you to get an EASY, SHORT, RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE labor that will set you and your family off on an easy start to parenting, a positive experience that will remain with you for a lifetime and a gentle beginning for your baby!

The Joys of a Healthy Pregnancy Depends on Water

Whether you are a pregnant female or not, water is the key fluid required for the healthy functioning of all body organs. During pregnancy, your body actually needs more of this fluid to withstand the demanding changes that are being placed on your body to produce and nurture a healthy offspring.

Adequate water consumption for the safety of the developing fetus, as well as the mother is one of the most important preventive health maintenance strategies recommended by prenatal health care professionals. Of which, water is the main substance for the production of breast milk and necessary for good lactation.

Drinking plenty of water during pregnancy helps the mother avoid dehydration problems that can lead to quite a lengthy list of negative health complications such as headaches, water retention, nausea (morning sickness, cramps, oedema (ankle swelling), dizziness, heartburn, and elevated blood pressure. During the third trimester, the lack of water in the body can can cause early contractions that leads to premature labor.

A common health problem, among women that are pregnant, is the risk for developing a urinary tract infection. Increased water intake helps lowers this risk considerably, by keeping urine diluted and from pooling up to long in the bladder. Thus, your entire urine excretion system stays flushed.

Although it may seem counterintuitive, the more water you drink during your pregnancy, the less water the body will try to hold on to, especially if there is water/salt imbalance (more salt than water). It will also help avoid constipation and hemorrhoids.

So, how do you know if you are drinking enough water? The best indicator that you are getting enough is by the color of your excreted urine. If it is dark yellow or orange it is a signal to increase your water intake. Light yellow to pale colored urine, and you are doing fine.

An easy way to measure how much you are drinking everyday, is to fill a two or three quart container, with a goal of trying to finish it all by the end of the day.

Summer season pregnancies require awareness on your part to add an extra glass or two to accommodate for mobile exertion that results in perspiring and equals more fluids being lost. Try to steer clear of of caffeinated beverages such as tea, cola, or coffee, and do not make the mistake of counting them as part of your regular daily water intake. Caffeine is considered a mild drug and is a diuretic. These types of drinks, although made with water, will actually cause more urination and force more water out of your body.

So, what if don’t like the taste of water, and are having a hard time making yourself drink what you should?

To help ease yourself into the healthy habit, hopefully a good habit you will keep after delivery, try one of these easy tips. Try freezing up some small ice cubes made with your favorite fruit juice. Add a few cubes to a tall glass of water. It will have a weak fruity taste, as well an eye catching appearance. Or, if you like the taste of lemon or lime squeeze a small wedge into your glass of water.

If tap water safety concerns you, you may want to invest in a home filtration system for your drinking and cooking needs. When traveling or away from home, opting to drink bottled water may be more convenient than bringing your own with you, just make sure the seal is not broken and check expiration dates closely. Avoid prepackaged water in questionable plastic containers, certain types of plastics have been linked to hormone problems.

While meeting the nutritional needs of both mother and baby are very critical issues, adequate water intake education seems to take a back seat in its level of dominance for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and a healthy infant. In fact, dehydration problems in the general population is the single most important preventable solution in healing a very long list of degenerative health conditions in itself.

The issue of morning sickness has often been attributed to deficiencies of specific nutrients lacking in the mothers diet by many nutritional health experts. According to Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, M.D., author of “You Body’s Many Cries For Water”claims, although it is very subtle and simple by nature, morning sickness is the first sign that a pregnant female and her fetus are dehydrated.

Dr. B states in his book, page 15, “during the intrauterine stage of cell expansion, water for cell growth of the child has to be provided by the mother. However, the transmitter system for water intake seems to be produced by the fetal tissue, but registers its effects on the mother during the early phase of pregnancy”.

This very unpleasant symptom of being pregnant hinders many women from eating properly, sometimes well into mid-day. Instead of trying to figure out what type of food nutrient may be missing from the diet, why not treat the nausea with water first?

Healthy Foods For Pregnant Women

When shopping for healthy foods for pregnant women, there are a few items that should top your list every trip. With their high nutritional content, these types of foods will help mom and baby be as healthy as possible. Good choices in healthy foods for pregnant women include dairy products, proteins, and fresh produce.

Adding a Milk Mustache

It should come as no surprise that calcium is an important food for pregnant women. Of all the healthy foods for pregnant women, this is certainly the one that gets the most media attention. But what does it mean in terms of helping baby grow? Read on to learn more about calcium being a healthy food for pregnant women.

When pregnant women take in at least 1200 milligrams of calcium per day, they encourage strong bone growth for the baby as well as keep up their own stores of calcium. Because mom’s body is going to be giving a lot of her own nutrition to baby, it’s important that she gets enough calcium for both to stay strong.

Good sources of calcium include milks and cheeses, but also yogurt. If you’re unable to have lactose because of an intolerance condition, soy milks work well too, and there are lactose-free milks available for purchase as well.

Adding Meats and Poultry

Just as with calcium, healthy foods for pregnant women are helping to create a strong body for both mom and for baby. When you are pregnant, your body is using up about 300 calories more each day to help nourish baby, but these calories can be burned off as muscle, if you’re unable to get the right amount of protein.

Protein helps keep you strong and active during your pregnancy, as well as helps your body grow a strong and energetic child.

Adding Fruits and Vegetables to Your Basket

Of course, no advice on healthy foods for pregnant women can be complete without guidance to the produce section of your grocery store. By adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet, you will make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals for your child.

What you may want to do is choose organic produce whenever possible to make sure you are reducing your exposure to potential chemicals. With healthy foods for pregnant women, you can ensure that mom and baby are going to be strong during the entire nine months and beyond.

Your Body and Your Pregnancy – What Can You Expect

You have just had the delightful news that you are pregnant. It is understandable to wonder about the many changes your body will go through. Every woman is different but there are many things that will be common for all women. Some women will simply thrive when pregnant, others will have minor nuisance factors, but whatever happens you can always rely on your medical practitioner if there are any concerns.

Make sure you visit your dentist during your pregnancy and inform him that you are pregnant. About half of all pregnant women develop a condition called pregnancy gingivitis. No need to be concerned about this because it is only a reddening of the gums caused by the increased blood flow to the gums which is common during pregnancy. So you will need to be gentle with brushing and flossing your teeth if you have this condition as your gums will bleed easily.

It is possible that you may suffer from leg cramps because of your pregnancy, especially in the later months. This could be because of a calcium or magnesium deficiency and should be discussed with your doctor if this becomes a nuisance as he may suggest helpful supplements.

You may still be working and notice that you have to go to the toilet more often. This is perfectly natural and to be expected especially as your pregnancy progresses.

Your body is now working extra hard, growing and feeding another little life so you are bound to start feeling more tired than usual. Take the opportunity to rest as much as possible.

You have probably heard about the ‘pregnancy blues’. This is because you may experience constant mood swings. Fluctuations in mood are often experienced in pregnancy because your body will be undergoing many hormonal changes. Even the strongest of women may break down in tears often and wonder what is happening. Don’t worry if all part of the many processes that your body is undergoing.

Pregnancy is definitely a joyful time in a women’s life, so if there are any difficulties or concerns please consult your medical practitioner who is on hand to guide you and help you at this vital time.

Holidays Becoming Hollow Days Because You Can’t Get Pregnant?

When it comes to the holidays are you thinking “I’ll just be glad when it’s all over with”? You’re not alone. Many people believe that we’ve gotten away from the true meaning of the season, with consumerism and unrealistic expectations taking all the fun out of things. But that’s not at all why you’re dreading the holidays this year, is it? Have the holidays become “”hollow days”" because you don’t have children yet?

The holiday season means different things to us over the years. As a child it is a time of wonder and excitement. Everything seems to have a special sparkle about it. As a college student it is that welcome break that follows all night study sessions, term papers and final exams. Oh yeah, and a time to eat mom’s home cooking. It is a time of spiritual preparation and reflection and a time to realign priorities. And as adults we get the opportunity to rediscover magic through our children. But, when you long to be a parent, the holidays can become a painful reminder of what’s missing in your life. Holiday traditions can seem hollow and empty without a child to share them with.

It’s no wonder those struggling to build a family find themselves feeling increasingly stressed and sad as the holidays approach. Here are some tips to help you get through the next month and maybe even experience some joy along the way.

* Bow out with…with a plan: You certainly don’t have to go to every party or gathering you’re invited to, especially if seeing pregnant friends or new babies leave you bawling in the bathroom instead of enjoying the party. It may be helpful to plan something else special for that evening so you won’t be focused on what you’re missing.

* Keep it brief: If you decide to attend an event, have a plan to hit the road early if you find yourself becoming upset.

* Give it a rest: Take a vacation from the holidays this year. And while you’re at it, how about a vacation from infertility? Get away to one of your favorite spots and spend some quality time with your honey.

* Breathe: It’s amazing how often we stop breathing when we become stressed. Make it a habit to be aware of your breath. Take several deep, cleansing breaths throughout the day. These mini-energizers can be real lifesavers.

* Move:Exercise is a fabulous stress reducer and can even help you sleep better at night. Here’s some ideas: take your dog for a brisk walk for 20 minutes a day, use that gym membership you keep threatening to cancel, call your best friend to go for a bike ride, take the stairs, go bowling… oh, and don’ t you have inline skates somewhere in your garage?

* Tickle your funny bone: How long has it been since you’ve had a good belly laugh? Look for opportunities to experience joy. Rent one of your all time favorite funny movies or make plans to go with some friends to a comedy club. Talk about stress reduction… there’s nothing like a good laugh.

* Have vs. have nots: Start and end each and every day by focusing on all the wonderful things that are going well in your life. Fertility problems can totally eclipse your life and get you thinking about all that’s missing, wrong or unfair. It’s important to lend our energy to what’s going right in your life.

* Bend an Ear: Talk with your partner, a trusted friend or family member about what you’re feeling. Be prepared to ask for the type of support you find most helpful, as those closest to you may not know how best to help. And don’t be afraid to reach out for professional guidance and support when you need to. We all need a helping hand from time to time.

You Are Pregnant? Then Take Care of Yourself

When you are pregnant you should be in contact with your doctor who will guide you through all the checkups you should need.

The doctor should be familiar with your medical history in order to care for you properly. Before you do anything unusual check with your doctor first to make sure it is safe.

Important you know that the changes are different from woman to woman and each pregnancy is different from the previous one. Your body is constantly changing physically along with emotional and mental changes you will experience,

One of the first things you might experience in the beginning of pregnancy is morning sickness which makes you feel like throwing up and not wanting to eat, this could happen at nighttime also. This usually lasts a few weeks to a month but then you should feel like eating again and your menu is endless.

You may also feel very tired and sleepy, that is natural. Then usually around the 4th or 5th month your stomach will start growing and you will feel the additional weight you will carry around. Sometimes you will feel moody and sensitive, you will want attention, a cozy home with lots of love and support from your partner.

Food
During your pregnancy you can eat almost anything that is healthy and nourishing. Sometimes you will find yourself craving something strange or unusual for you, that is common.

You may find that food you used to like doesn’t appeal to you now and foods you didn’t like will appeal to you. This is a hormonal thing and is natural. Just remember everything you put in your mouth will affect the baby.

If it is a food product that causes gas both of you will suffer from it so choose wisely what you eat. You want your baby to come into this world healthy and strong.

Vitamins

Vitamins are very good for you during your pregnancy. They are good as a back up to your diet and they are good for the baby.

If you are not sure you eat enough good food the vitamins will do the job. You need to get advice from your doctor as to which vitamins you should take. There are a lot of vitamins and companies that make them but it is best to talk to your doctor.

The doctor may prescribe different vitamins to different women so it is best to talk to him/her.

While pregnant the body is transforming to a different level. It has 9 months to prepare for the due day.

Everything is very gradual and has a reason. As we have said before it is different from woman to woman. Some women grow a lot while other women hardly increase in size, but the stomach seems to always look like a balloon or a basketball.

There are physical changes because you are now living for two. You need to take care of yourself and pay attention to any pains you may feel, blood spots, marks on your skin, etc.

Usually around the 5th month you will feel the baby move. It will feel like a flutter and as it grows it will start to kick and move around.

During the pregnancy you can become very moody and sensitive .you may cry very easily or become angry very fast or on the other hand you will have moments of joy and happiness. Always remember to keep your heart open and try to get everything through love.

To listen to the real you deep inside this is the time you develop a new sense called “mother’s intuition”, it is something you just know and there is no explanation as to where it comes from or how. Well pregnancy is the beginning for you to listen to your intuition, what is good for you, what kind of food makes you feel good, and what is good for the baby and you together, whether it is a boy or girl.

Unique Baby Names

Expectant parents often say they are looking for a unique baby name. But what do they mean? Do they really want a name that is totally unique? In the strictest sense, if you want such a name, then of course you want it to be the only one of its kind. But how realistic is that?

Realistic or not, a sizeable number of prospective parents still try to come up with “one-of-a-kind” names. Some names, such as Mackenzie, now have literally dozens of spelling variations, including McKenzee, MacKinzee, and Machenzie. But taken to the extreme, the hunt for a unique baby name can lead to some curious, clunky variants. Do you want your child to be named “Mukkenzy,” after all other possible variations have been taken, simply so your boy or girl can have that unique name? Probably not. You probably don’t want to go with a name like Pilot Inspektor, Moxie Crimefighter, or Version 2.0 either.

A growing body of research suggests that giving your child a unique baby name may not be the best thing for the child, longterm. This argument holds that your name subtly influences how people see you, and this affects how they treat you. In turn, this influences your self-image and self-esteem, starting as a small child. In its simplest form, a child with a ‘weird’ name, such as Elmer, may be continuously teased in school, and this will hurt Elmer’s self-image and future development. By contrast, ‘Alexander,’ named after the great emperor, may be empowered by his name, because other people unconsciously respond to him with a certain level of respect.

Robert Needlman, MD, has written an interesting discussion of this topic. The research implies that boys with unusual first names tend to display more emotional disturbances than boys with more traditional names. But, as Dr. Needlman points out, it is important not to overstate the case. Are the boys in question more troubled because of their names, or because of the parental support structure which gave them strange names in the first place? Nonetheless, there are many instances where ‘desirable’ names are shown to lead to greater success. A recent report from the School of Business at Arizona State University shows that the names of top CEOs in Phoenix come from a disproportionately small group of names, implying that certain names are more likely to lead to greater success. The three most successful names in the study group were Robert, John, and Steve.

But whether or not it’s a good idea to give a child a unique name, some parents seem driven to find one. The following list may make it a little easier.

While the following names are not totally unique, they are very unusual. They are real names, and some even have very interesting histories. The boy’s name Jago, for instance, is a variant of the name James, from Cornwall, in England. And the girl’s name Lettice is another old name, Latin in origin, meaning “gladness.”

But while all these names are “real,” none of them has been in the top 1000 names in the last hundred years, according to U.S. Social Security data. Maybe they’re not one hundred percent unique. But they’re unusual, out-of-the-ordinary, and very individual. If that’s the kind of name your’e looking for, then this list is definitely for you.

Girls’ Names: Briony, Dalena, Easter, Flick, Gaia, Happy, Jaine, Lettice, Odelia, Opal, Posy, Saffron, Tarina, Unity, Wilda, Xanthe, Zinnia.

Boys’ Names: Alban, Barker, Chay, Digby, Edan, Fergal, Jago, Laban, Napier, Parsifal, Somerled, Trayton, Urban, Vanslow, Yorick, Zeno.

Cute Maternity Clothes – Tips To Look Cute While Pregnant

Your mother’s generation was different. Today, you live in modern times where fashion is the key word where clothing is concerned, even during a pregnancy! Since you desire to look good at all times, you might wish to know where cute maternity clothes can be found!

Before we move forward, may be it would be wise to understand what exactly is meant by cute here. The image conjured up in your mind would be that of something that looks kiddish or makes you look like a baby yourself! True, earlier cute maternity clothes consisted of dresses which were similar to those worn by baby dolls and consisted of floppy bows placed at the neck! They were meant to exhibit the mother-to-be as a small doll herself who would be bringing another boy doll or girl doll into the world!

Today, the definition of cute maternity clothes has entirely changed. There are styles and fashions to suit everyone’s tastes, and they range from downright funky to hippie styles to glamorous haute couture.

Before you run to your computer (since that is the trend now-a-days), ask for help from close relatives such as siblings, maybe a sister-in-law or cousins, even close friends. If these women have undergone pregnancies before, it is very likely that they have just the type of cute maternity clothes that you want stocked in their own wardrobes! After all, all your tastes should prove to be quite similar!

Not interested? Well then, standard clothes in larger sizes are always available; so these should do during the earlier stages of pregnancy. They are more readily available at standard department stores than at special maternity shops. These clothes can be worn even after the delivery of the baby is over.

The maternity consignment stores or resell shops also display cute maternity clothes that have been gently used, but are still fashionable enough to be worn.

And if it is fashion you are after, run to chain clothing stores, where the range of apparel offered is vast. You will find that the prices fall within your budget. There are pants and tops as well as suits that can be used at home, as well as to go to the office if you are still a working woman.

The last resort is the Internet! A number of specialty web sites have devoted themselves to offering cute maternity clothes for the mom-to-be. Casual, as well as formal wear, can be found at Due Maternity. The price range is limited to 150 dollars. A more popular web site is Nicole Michelle which displays a vast range of stylish wear.

So if it is cute maternity clothes you are after, you can shop anywhere you want – specialized web sites, maternity consignment stores, chain clothing stores, or other venues offering maternity wear. If you use them carefully right up to the ninth month, they can be stored and passed on to a younger sister or a close friend when it is their turn to wear them!
